It was almost end of the winter season in the hill station of NathiaGali in KPK province of Pakistan. Suddenly weather changed and things started getting worst. There was a fast and stormy wind first and then a mild snowfall started. People were in their casual mood but have to face this worst condition. There was a mixture of rain and snowfall all the day. I shoot this series of images while travelling back to Islamabad. People were standing in waiting for a conveyance with umbrellas stretch on their head and were covered with shawls or jackets. An old man was standing without any shelter and almost shivering. A permanent shelter on places like these may solve the problem and people can be saved from the difficulties they face with sudden change in weather which is very common in these areas.

Life After Rain

Buy Image

Rain is no doubt a matter of life and death for the farmers. It not only boast their crops but also improve health index. This rainy spell is long enough and must have very positive effect on the water table which is receding alarmingly.

Shooting In Cloudy Conditions Or Just After Rain

Light quality and clarity just after rain is always amazing. Sometime light just peep from some hole in the thick cloud and produce amazing effect. So just go out after rain and start shooting. Just one thing – shoot just half to one stop over as reflection around deceive your camera sensor and it would try to underexpose the scene.

Monsoon Have A Mood

For some monsoon is dull and boring but in reality monsoon have its own mood and you just have to discover the pleasures of the season and once you start shooting, you would love it.
